CONFERENCES & ASSEMBLIES

I L O Institute members participate in three membership Assemblies per year. At these meetings, innovation leaders gather for three meetings per year, in groups no larger than 20, to examine key ideas, tactics and strategies; to share information with fellow innovation leaders formally and informally, and to set the Institute’s research agenda.

Notable leaders in corporate innovation will join I L O Assemblies to discuss their ideas and experiences with members, as well.

In addition to our membership Assemblies, the Institute runs one-day events open to invited guests, and to Institute members, throughout the year. Upcoming one-day events include:

OPEN TO INVITED GUESTS, AS WELL AS MEMBERS

Monday, March 15, Join us in Denver, along with Nobel Prize winner Joseph Stiglitz, for a look at emerging dynamics in the global economy and their impact on innovation strategy.

Thursday, March 25, Jeffrey Garten, former dean of the Yale School of Management and senior U.S. Department of Commerce official, will join us in New York City to share his views on global economic prospects for 2010 and beyond. Professor Garten's books and guidance on globalization of U.S.-based firms have been among the earliest and most valuable guideposts for Fortune 1000 companies. His look ahead into the global economic future promises to be distinctive and enormously valuable.

Wednesday, March 31, Join us in Boston with Harvard Law School professor Lawrence Lessig, the most world's most influential voice on intellectual property and public policy. Founder of the Creative Commons, author of The Future of Ideas, and former special master for the federal Microsoft anti-trust trial, Professor Lessig always offers new insights, and valuable surprises.

Friday, April 30, Clayton Christensen, distinguished professor at Harvard Business School and author of THE INNOVATOR'S DILEMMA, will join us in Boston for a close look at innovation strategies for a recovering economy. Professor Christensen's influence on American and global enterprise is impossible to overestimate; his notion of "disruptive innovation" is at the heart of multi-billion-dollar successes across the globe, and his new insights are likely to prove even more valuable.
